> Cancer Bio-Santé
The principal mission of the Cancer-Bio-Santé cluster is to improve management of the continuum of cancer care by adopting a unique and broad approach throughout the fields of prevention, diagnostic, treatment and patient monitoring, by synergizing all the resources of the Midi Pyrenees region necessary to treat cancer: education, public and private research, clinical research and industry.
Cancer-Bio-Santé will contribute to the development of the The Toulouse Campus Cancer, a 220 ha Biopark, which will be dedicated to the fight against cancer, combining and integrating both institutions and industry resources.
The Cancer-Bio-Santé cluster is supporting in the Midi Pyrénées and Limousin regions more than 2,000 people involved in R&D in public sector and 1,650 in private sector. Overall 230 companies in the sector of health (9,000 jobs), 63 biotechnology companies, 2 international pharmaceutical companies (8,000 jobs), 30 companies involved in health food as well as 2,100 companies involved in information technologies (14,000 jobs) are contributing to the dynamic of the cluster.
> Oslo Cancer Cluster - From Cancer Research to Cure
Oslo Cancer Cluster is a cancer cluster in the Oslo-region of Norway, established as a result of more than 80 years of excellence in cancer research. Since 2007, Oslo Cancer Cluster has been a Norwegian Centres of Expertise (NCE), the only one in health/life science.
Oslo Cancer Cluster is solely focused on developing new cancer treatments and diagnostics for the benefit of cancer patients. Oslo Cancer Cluster works to speed up the overall process of taking a product from “bench to bedside” in half the time required today.
Oslo Cancer Cluster has over 50 members, including the University hospitals, industrial companies, academic research institutions, health initiatives, patient organizations and support groups in the field of biotechnology with a main focus on cancer. The member companies consist of the Norwegian branches of major pharmaceutical companies, established Norwegian international companies and Norwegian start-up and venture companies. The member companies have in total more than 50 products in their clinical pipelines – an impressive number in world terms.
